Sarah Radnor Personal Trainer – Alli Ross Goals: * To lose 20 – 30lbs * To increase overall fitness level and live a healthier lifestyle How long have I been working with trainer? I’ve been working with Alli for almost 11 months now. It was necessary for me to have a trainer at the beginning, so I didn’t become so overwhelmed with all the equipment in the gym and give up before I really got into it. By working with Alli she eased me into using all the equipment that gym has, and now I am comfortable to use the machines on my own. What do I like about it? Since working with Alli I have lost 37.5lbs and counting, and I look forward to coming to the gym. I have seen results faster and more consistent than if I was to work out on my own. When working out with Alli the workout is more intense and the variety of the workout keeps me coming back. Alli’s persistence with me has helped me tremendously. When I first started going to the gym I could barely run for a minute on the treadmill, now I’m running straight for 12 minutes. My cardio level is something that we are still working on, but everyone is going to have their own weaknesses/struggles. When signing up for training you also get their wealth of knowledge. When I first started with Alli, she set me up with a meal plan that works for me and produced positive results for me, with weight loss and being happier overall. Alli has a variety of clients that she works with. From each client she finds something different that works, no two clients are the same. The training regime for each client is adapted to each of her clients’ goals and fitness level. She knows when she needs to be hard core and when she needs to back off, because she has pushed me to my max. I was surprised at how addicting going to the gym really could be, if I miss a day I feel almost guilty. What have I gained from having a personal trainer? A new wardrobe, healthier lifestyle, knowledge of how the fitness equipment works, more energy, inner happiness, increased fitness level. Well worth the investment if you ask me! If you are just starting out at the gym I highly recommend you invest in a personal trainer. They will show you how to use the machines, and will keep you motivated to keep coming back. Sarah |

Tina Harman Goals: • To lose weight • To be healthy • To be strong • To have fun • To be a positive role model for my daughter, family and friends I have been enjoying personal training with Alli Ross since Tuesday, September 14, 2010. From the first time I met Alli, I knew she meant business. Alli is the epitome of what a personal trainer should be. She is confident in what she does and truly enjoys her job. She gives me the motivation I need to push myself past my limits and far beyond. She is very knowledgeable about cardio training, weight training, stretching, nutrition etc, etc, and just life in general. I have fun when Alli is training me, it’s a new adventure every time, a challenge I get to overcome every hour I train. And now, even when I am working out by myself, I can hear Alli’s voice saying “Don’t give up, you’ve come this far! You’re almost done! Look at the white tape ahead, you’re almost there!” I never thought I could run a mile, and now she has me running over 2 miles in a session. I feel so good about myself since I have started training that I can’t wipe this smile off my face. I feel so strong, vibrant and whole. It will be a sad day when I have to say goodbye to Alli, as my personal trainer, but I know she will always be a friend. I would recommend Alli to anyone who wants to get into shape, face a challenge and have fun while doing it. |

Darrel Lustic Age: 46 Gold’s Gym, Peterborough, Ontario Before I joined Gold’s Gym I had low self-esteem ad I wasn’t fit at all. I joined to get myself into shape and now at 46 years of age, I’m looking and feeling better than I have in 25 years! There’s a huge difference between what I looked like when I started and now. My next goal is to go into a fitness competition. I’d like to thank my trainer Pam and my friend, Gold’s member Judy Doughty for providing inspiration and making me believe in myself. I hope I can someday be the inspiration for someone else who wants to get in shape. |

Alex : I joined Gold's Gym in Peterborough because I was impressed with its large layout and its variety of modern equipment. The friendly staff is willing to help anyone requiring assistance and is always available to demonstrate the proper and safe usage of the equipment. I make use of the large selection of cardio equipment and I like to spend a significant amount of time in the weight room where there is a huge variety of new weight training equipment. Since joining Gold's Gym I have improved my fitness level, lost weight and gained muscle. I enjoy the results that I get from Gold's Gym on my overall health and well-being. I will not stop now that I have found a convenient and effective way to keep fit! |

Trina Edwards Reason for joining: To lose weight and to have a personalized exercise program. Achievements: Was wearing size 16 pants and is now a size 8 and shrinking! In their own words: A lot of the gyms I've gone to had the same machines and I could never find the motivation I was seeking. Gold's gym is a truly state-of-the-art gym, which was my motivating factor. I really wanted to find a trainer, which is where Pam came in. I chose her because she could empathize with my body and the struggles I was experiencing. Pam was always my guiding light, never letting me give up. I started to see and feel the changes. I've struggled my entire life with diets and trying to wish away the weight. I am now achieving goals I had only dreamt of. I jog on a regular basis and am training for my first triathalon. I am the strongest and healthiest I've ever been and I love it! My entire life has changed and I look forward to the future with a healthy body and strong spirit. |

Pam Martino Member since: 2008 Reason for joining: To lose weight, tone up the body and increase cardio. Achievements: To learn how to use the cardio equipment and to work with weights. In their own words: I knew about the reputation of Gold's Gym and heard great things about them. From my first visit I knew it was the right choice of gym. I had never worked with any weights or cardio equipment so Cheryl advised me to use a personal trainer. I was set up with a personal trainer and nutritionist who was named Pam. After signing up for 18 weeks of training I changed it to 28 weeks because I was enjoying it and wanted to learn how to use more of the equipment. Now I am doing things with weights and machines that never in my wildest dreams thought I would or could do. With Gold's Gym you have the opportunity to not only work with all of the state-of-the-art equipment but their group classes are great. The rowing class has the latest rowers to train on. Since joining, I feel great and wish I'd joined years ago. My body and heart are not only stronger but I have more energy and my self confidence has increased. My advice to you is to not delay and join Gold's Gym today!! |

Roy H. Mosler aka Cowboy Member since: October 2007 Reason for joining: To feel better about myself and to reduce my waist size. Achievements: Was 215 lbs and is now 180 lbs. In their own words: I had a five by-pass heart surgery back in 2005. I was on medication that made me gain weight, plus I was eating and not exercising. My waist size went from 32 to 38. I joined Gold's Gym and signed up for training sessions with Pam. A year later my granddaughter told grandmamma not to give papa any more junk food because she didn't want my tummy to get big again! When I first joined Gold's Gym I was walking with a cane and was not able to tie my shoes, now I can see my feet! I thank Gold's Gym. |

Mike Parry Member Since: Pre-opening 2008 Reason for Joining: Get rid of lethargy, lose weight (without dieting which has never worked for me) and get fit.” Achievements: Lost well over 50lbs and 10 inches around the waist. I no longer have to take medication for blood pressure, uric acid (gout) and am no longer diabetic. I can now walk without orthodics and was able to participate in the 2008 Relay for Life from not being able to walk for more than 2 minutes at a time (after various gout attacks). Have much more stamina and have changed from being somewhat introverted to having a great deal more confidence in myself. In his own words… Having never been to a gym before, I joined with some trepidation, but, after starting my fears were soon allayed by the extremely helpful, friendly staff, other members and soon felt quite at home working out. I am now totally committed, work out daily and really look forward to going I even feel guilty if for any reason I can't go. |
